Amazon-backed personal AI device maker Bee has introduced two new products designed to capture everyday conversations and turn them into useful summaries, reminders and tasks. The new lineup includes the Bee Frontier wearable and the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized device that attaches magnetically to a smartphone.

The Bee Frontier costs $74.99, while the Bee Eclipse is priced at $99.99. The launch marks Bee’s first major product introduction since Amazon acquired the company in 2025.

Both devices aim to help users remember important details from meetings, lectures and everyday conversations. They can create summaries and identify action items, reducing the need to take notes manually.

Bee Frontier and Eclipse bring AI note-taking to everyday life

The Bee Frontier is designed to be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothing. It comes in Onyx, Lavender and Sage colour options.

The device focuses on capturing conversations and turning them into organised information. For example, it could identify a date and time agreed upon during a conversation and help create a calendar invitation.

Users could also use it to summarise lectures, remember meeting decisions or organise tasks discussed with colleagues. The idea is to make conversational information easier to revisit and act on later.

The Bee Eclipse takes a different approach. Its credit-card-sized design attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. It will be available in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush.

At $99.99, the Eclipse is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to dedicated AI note-taking devices such as the Plaud Note. However, actual usefulness will depend on recording quality, transcription accuracy and how well the AI identifies important details.

Bee says the Frontier is available now on Amazon, while the Eclipse will arrive soon.

Bee Pro subscription adds integrations and AI features

Both devices offer free conversation summaries and recaps, along with 14 days of memory. Users can subscribe to Bee Pro for $11.99 per month to access additional features.

The paid plan includes unlimited conversation summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant and conversation templates. It also adds integrations with Amazon, Alexa+ and third-party applications.

Bee works with productivity services such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. These integrations can help users draft emails, schedule meetings and identify follow-up tasks.

The company also plans to connect the devices more closely with Amazon shopping and Alexa. Users who enable the relevant integration can ask Alexa for Bee summaries, insights and to-dos. They can also use the Amazon connection to make purchases.

Users can upload photos to Bee or connect it with Apple HealthKit to add wellness information to their insights.

Privacy remains important for an always-listening AI device

Devices that capture conversations raise questions about consent, storage and access to personal information. Bee says its security architecture processes audio in real time and deletes the raw audio instead of retaining recordings.

According to the company, encrypted transcripts use keys created and controlled by the user’s device. Bee says its employees cannot access these files unless users intentionally share them.

The devices also include an indicator light when they are summarising a conversation. The Frontier has a single button for power control, dual microphones with noise filtering and IP67 water resistance.

Bee claims the Frontier can last up to seven days on a charge and supports USB-C charging.

Even with these safeguards, users should consider the privacy expectations of people around them before recording conversations. They should also review the permissions and data-sharing settings of connected services.

Bee expands Amazon’s personal AI ambitions

The new devices place Bee in a growing market for AI-powered wearables and dedicated note-taking hardware. Its approach centres on making conversations searchable and actionable rather than simply recording them.

The Frontier and Eclipse offer different form factors, but both rely on AI summaries and productivity integrations. The free tier provides a starting point, while Bee Pro adds more extensive memory and automation features.

Their long-term value will depend on accuracy, battery life, privacy controls and the usefulness of their integrations. The subscription cost will also matter for users who want to access the full feature set over time.
