Finding earbuds that stay in place during an intense workout can be difficult. Regular TWS earbuds can loosen with sweat and movement. Neckbands, meanwhile, can feel restrictive during exercise.
HAMMER is looking to address that with its latest launch. The company has introduced the KO2 Sports TWS earbuds in India at ₹1,299.
The earbuds use an ear-hook design that wraps around the ear. HAMMER says this helps keep them securely positioned during running, gym sessions and outdoor activities.
The KO2 Sports also combines the secure fit with soft silicone construction. The company describes the material as sweat-resistant and skin-friendly.
Ear-hook design focuses on workout stability
The biggest focus of the KO2 Sports is its fit. The earbuds feature an ergonomic hook that sits around the ear rather than relying only on the ear canal for stability.
This could make them more suitable for users who regularly experience earbuds slipping during exercise.
Despite the additional ear-hook structure, HAMMER claims the earbuds weigh 62.4 grams. The company says the lightweight design is intended for extended use beyond workouts.
The earbuds are available in an Elegant Purple colour.
Bluetooth 6.0 and 25dB ANC
For connectivity, the HAMMER KO2 Sports comes with Bluetooth 6.0. The company says the newer Bluetooth standard enables faster pairing and more stable connectivity.
The earbuds also feature 25dB Active Noise Cancellation. This is designed to reduce surrounding noise while listening to music or during workouts.
For calls, the KO2 Sports gets four MEMS microphones. The setup is intended to improve voice pickup during voice and video calls.
However, the actual effectiveness of ANC and microphone performance will depend on the listening environment and fit.
13mm titanium drivers target deeper bass
HAMMER has equipped the KO2 Sports with 13mm Titanium Dynamic Drivers.
The larger drivers are designed to deliver deeper bass and a more immersive listening experience. This makes the earbuds particularly targeted at users who prefer energetic audio during workouts.
The earbuds also feature touch controls. Users can control music and calls without reaching for their smartphone.
A built-in voice assistant adds another hands-free option.
Up to 80 hours of playtime
Battery life is another major highlight of the KO2 Sports. HAMMER claims up to 80 hours of total playtime at 50% volume with the charging case.
The case uses a Type-C charging port. HAMMER says the case can be fully charged in under two hours.
The long claimed battery life also makes the KO2 Sports suitable for travel and everyday listening. However, actual playback time can vary depending on volume, ANC usage and other factors.
HAMMER KO2 Sports price and availability
The HAMMER KO2 Sports TWS earbuds are priced at ₹1,299 in India. They are available in the Elegant Purple colour.
The earbuds can be purchased through HammerOnline.in, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy and Amazon.
At ₹1,299, the KO2 Sports enters a crowded affordable TWS market. Its ear-hook design gives it a more specific focus than conventional earbuds. The combination of 25dB ANC, Bluetooth 6.0, 13mm drivers and claimed 80-hour battery life also gives HAMMER several features to compete on in the budget segment.
