Nikon has launched the Z5IIC full-frame mirrorless camera in India. The new FX-format camera combines a full-frame sensor with automated shooting features and advanced video capabilities.
The camera is designed for both photography and video. It also adds features such as Imaging Recipes, AI-based autofocus and five-axis in-body vibration reduction.
Nikon Z5IIC Price and Availability in India
The Nikon Z5IIC is priced at ₹1,39,995 for the camera body. It will be available through Nikon authorised stores across India from mid-October.
The camera comes in two colour options, Black and Silver. Nikon has positioned the Z5IIC as a full-frame mirrorless option with a mix of automated shooting tools and manual controls.
Full-Frame Sensor and 14fps Shooting
The Nikon Z5IIC uses a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor paired with the company’s EXPEED 7 image-processing engine. It offers an ISO range of 100 to 64000.
For photography, the camera can shoot at up to approximately 14fps. It also features five-axis in-body Vibration Reduction to help reduce the impact of camera shake.
The camera uses Nikon’s Z mount and supports the company’s Nikkor Z lens range. Its autofocus system can identify 10 subject categories, according to Nikon.
4K/60fps Video With N-RAW
Video recording is another major focus of the Nikon Z5IIC. The camera can record 4K UHD video at up to 60fps, although 4K/60p recording uses a 1.5x crop.
Full-HD recording is available at up to 120fps. The camera also offers slow-motion recording with 4x and 5x playback options depending on the selected settings.
For creators who need more flexibility during post-production, the camera supports 10-bit H.265 and Nikon’s N-Log format. It can also record 12-bit N-RAW video directly to an SD memory card.
3.2-Inch Touchscreen and Automated Shooting
The Z5IIC features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. Users can use the screen for focusing, releasing the shutter and reviewing images through touch gestures.
Nikon has also included 15 scene modes. These modes automatically adjust shooting parameters based on the selected subject or environment.
The camera gets a dedicated button for Nikon Imaging Recipes. These presets let users apply specific looks without manually changing multiple camera settings.
Nikon has also added a Film Grain function that creates a nostalgic film-style look for photos and videos.
AI Autofocus and Creator Features
The Nikon Z5IIC uses an AI-based autofocus system that can recognise 10 categories of subjects. Its automatic mode can also analyse scenes and adjust settings such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO and autofocus.
For video creators, Nikon has added a REC lamp and red frame indicator. These make it easier to see when recording is active and can help avoid accidentally missing footage.
The camera can also connect to a PC through USB for webcam and live-streaming use. It supports UVC/UAC, while Nikon Imaging Cloud provides post-shooting data management. Images can also be transferred to smartphones.
Nikon Z5IIC Focuses on Flexible Shooting
The Z5IIC combines full-frame imaging with automated tools aimed at simplifying photography. Its scene modes, Imaging Recipes and AI autofocus can help users get started without adjusting every setting manually.
At the same time, support for N-Log, 10-bit H.265 and 12-bit N-RAW gives video creators more advanced recording options. The combination of 4K/60fps video, 14fps stills and in-body stabilisation also gives the camera a broader shooting focus.
With a ₹1,39,995 body-only price, the Nikon Z5IIC enters India’s full-frame mirrorless camera segment with a focus on both photography and video.
