Meta has unveiled two new devices as it expands its push into virtual reality and AI agents. The company introduced its new Meta VR Glasses and Muse Charm at Meta Connect 2026.

The VR glasses mark Meta’s first VR device since the Quest 3S arrived in 2024. Meanwhile, Muse Charm is designed to provide a direct way to interact with Meta’s Muse AI personal agent without opening a phone or app.

Meta VR Glasses Price and Launch Date

The Meta VR Glasses will cost $1,299 when they go on sale in spring 2027. This makes the new device considerably more expensive than Meta’s previous Quest 3S, which launched at $299.

However, Meta is taking a different approach with the new hardware. The company says the device is smaller and lighter than its older Quest-branded VR headsets.

The glasses aim to deliver high-resolution visuals and an immersive VR experience in a much smaller form factor. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the device as bringing the feeling of presence and immersion into a glasses-like design.

External Puck Handles Processing and Battery

One of the major changes sits outside the glasses themselves. Meta has connected the VR glasses to an external puck that houses the Qualcomm processor and battery.

This design allows the glasses to remain lighter and slimmer. The external component effectively works as a mini-computer while handling some of the hardware that would otherwise add weight to the glasses.

Meta says the new glasses can deliver better visuals than its older Quest headset. The device also includes sensors designed to track eye and hand movements.

No Controllers Needed for Interaction

The new Meta VR Glasses are designed to reduce dependence on traditional VR controllers. Eye and hand tracking sensors allow users to interact with the device through their movements.

This approach could make the glasses feel more natural during everyday VR use. Meta is combining the smaller form factor with higher-resolution displays and views of the surrounding environment.

The company is positioning the device as a new category of VR hardware rather than simply another Quest headset.

Muse Charm Brings Meta AI to a Handheld Device

Alongside the VR glasses, Meta introduced the Muse Charm. The small handheld device works with Meta’s recently launched Muse AI personal agent.

Meta has not yet shared many technical details about the device. However, Zuckerberg said users will be able to speak to Muse Charm to interact with their Meta AI agents without unlocking a smartphone or opening an app.

The device is also designed to let users show their AI agent what is happening around them. Meta says this could make Muse Charm a faster way to interact with Muse when users are not wearing smart glasses.

Muse Charm Price and Availability

Meta has not announced a price for Muse Charm yet. The company is still finalising the components before production.

Zuckerberg said Meta is planning to have the device ready to ship in time for the holidays in December. The exact launch date and markets, however, have not been detailed.

This leaves the Muse Charm’s pricing and availability as two of the biggest unanswered questions following its debut.

Meta Connect 2026 Pushes AI and VR Together

The two products highlight Meta’s broader hardware strategy. The company is continuing its VR push while also building devices around AI agents.

The Meta VR Glasses focus on immersive computing through a lighter glasses-style form factor. Muse Charm takes a different route by providing a dedicated physical interface for Meta AI.

For consumers, the biggest change is the way Meta is trying to move AI interactions beyond smartphones and traditional apps. The VR glasses are expected in spring 2027, while Muse Charm is planned for the holiday season in December.
