- boltt plans to expand to 350–400 centres within 6–8 months.
boltt, the homegrown smartphone brand from the house of Fire-Boltt, is strengthening its after-sales infrastructure ahead of the sale of its first smartphones in India. The company says it will have more than 250 service centres across the country from Day One, a move that could help the new brand build customer confidence as it enters the competitive smartphone market.
With after-sales support often playing an important role in smartphone purchase decisions, boltt is using Fire-Boltt’s existing service infrastructure to provide repair and warranty assistance to customers. The company says the move is intended to give buyers easier access to support from the beginning of their ownership journey.
boltt to Have 250+ Service Centres Across India
The service network covers several major markets, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna and Guwahati, along with other cities.
Customers can visit their nearest service centre with their device and purchase invoice to seek repair and warranty support. The company says the centres will handle component-level repairs, replacements and software diagnosis and resolution, subject to applicable warranty terms.
For a new smartphone brand, establishing this network before the first devices go on sale could prove to be an important step. Rather than building its service infrastructure after gaining customers, boltt is entering the market with a support network already in place.
boltt Plans to Expand Service Network to 350–400 Centres
The company also plans to expand its footprint further. boltt says it is targeting 350 to 400 service centres across India within the next six to eight months.
The brand is also working towards introducing doorstep service in the future. If implemented, this could give customers another option for getting support without visiting a service centre.
Boltt Care Brings Support to Smartphones
Alongside its physical service network, boltt is introducing Boltt Care, a support platform built into its smartphones. Customers can use the platform to raise service requests and connect with the company’s backend support team and live agents.
The brand will also provide support through email, WhatsApp and phone, giving customers multiple channels to seek assistance.
Commenting on the company’s customer support strategy, Arnav Kishore, Founder and CEO, boltt, said the brand wants its relationship with customers to continue throughout the ownership journey. He added that the company is focusing on accessible and responsive support as it enters the smartphone category with the Boltt Evo and Ace 5G.
A Right Step Ahead of Smartphone Launch
boltt is entering India’s smartphone market at a time when established brands already have extensive retail and service networks. Therefore, having 250+ service centres before its first smartphones go on sale gives the company an opportunity to address one of the key concerns consumers can have when buying from a new smartphone brand: what happens if something goes wrong after the purchase?
By leveraging Fire-Boltt’s existing infrastructure and committing to further expansion, boltt is putting after-sales support in place alongside its smartphone launch rather than treating it as an afterthought. For a new entrant, that is a sensible step towards building customer trust from the beginning.
