Poco has launched the M8x 5G in India with a 7,900mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and 120Hz display.

Poco has expanded its M8 lineup in India with the launch of the Poco M8x 5G. The new smartphone sits alongside the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Power in the series.

The phone focuses on battery life and everyday performance. It packs a 7,900mAh battery, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and a 120Hz display. The Poco M8x 5G will go on sale through Flipkart later this month.

Poco M8x 5G Price and Availability

The Poco M8x 5G starts at ₹20,999 in India. This price applies to the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.

The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs ₹22,999. Poco is also offering a ₹2,000 bank discount to buyers.

The first sale will take place on August 27 at 12pm IST through Flipkart. Buyers can choose from Black, Blue and Leather Green colours. The Leather Green variant features a vegan leather finish.

Poco M8x 5G Features and Specifications

The Poco M8x 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The display also supports Wet Touch 2.0. This feature improves touch response when users operate the phone with wet fingers. The panel also carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing and circadian-friendly use.

Poco uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset to power the phone. The 4nm processor pairs with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The company claims the phone scored more than 6,50,000 points on AnTuTu. It also claims that the chipset can help apps launch 43 percent faster.

7,900mAh Battery Takes Centre Stage

Battery life remains one of the Poco M8x 5G’s biggest highlights. The phone packs a 7,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging.

Poco claims the battery can deliver up to 35 hours of social media use. It can also offer up to 27 days of messaging, 13 hours of GPS navigation and 64 hours of music playback.

The phone also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging. Users can therefore use it to charge compatible accessories or other devices.

Poco has added a triple cooling system for thermal management. It combines a 12,439 sq mm graphite area, a 1,924 sq mm copper foil layer and thermal gel.

50-Megapixel Camera and HyperOS 3

The Poco M8x 5G features a dual-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with 2x digital zoom and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

An 8-megapixel camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone can record videos at up to 1080p resolution.

On the software front, the phone runs Xiaomi’s Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Poco promises four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The phone also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. With its large battery, 120Hz display and Snapdragon chipset, the Poco M8x 5G targets users who prioritise endurance and everyday performance.
