Vivo has launched its latest mid-range phone, the Vivo V50e, in India, starting at ₹28,999. This new addition to Vivo’s V Series promises top-notch portrait photography and premium design, but how well does it balance style and performance?
Design That Turns Heads, But Not Without a Catch
The Vivo V50e comes in two stunning shades — Sapphire Blue and Pearl White — each crafted with a unique finish. The Sapphire variant offers a jewel-like pattern, while Pearl White mimics flowing water. It’s undeniably attractive, and at just 0.739 cm thick, it feels ultra-slim in hand.
The quad-curved display gives the phone a high-end vibe. However, some users may find the curves less practical, especially during gaming or typing, as accidental touches can be a real issue.
Photography Takes the Front Seat
The camera is the highlight here. The Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait setup includes a main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It supports three portrait focal lengths — 26mm, 39mm, and 52mm — helping users take DSLR-like shots without extra gear.

However, the Dimensity 7300 isn’t a performance powerhouse. It’s fine for daily use and casual gaming, but serious gamers or heavy users might want more processing muscle. Vivo could’ve used a higher-end chip to justify the price better.
Battery Life and Charging Impress Big Time
Battery anxiety won’t be a problem with the 5600 mAh battery. It supports 90W FlashCharge, the fastest ever in the V Series. Vivo claims the battery stays efficient for 4.5 years, thanks to its smart battery management system.
In real-world use, this translates to a full day of heavy use and super quick recharging — something users will love.
Software Experience Feels Fresh and Helpful
The V50e runs FunTouch OS 15, based on Android 15, with three years of Android updates promised. Vivo has added several AI-powered tools like:

- AI Image Expander
These smart features actually feel useful, especially for students and professionals. The only downside? Some bloatware still sneaks in, which could’ve been avoided.

The Vivo V50e is clearly built for users who care about looks and portraits. Its design stands out, and its camera features are genuinely useful. The phone also excels in battery and durability, making it a great pick for everyday users.
However, it’s not perfect. The processor could’ve been more powerful, and the quad-curved display might not suit everyone. Still, for ₹28,999, it offers a mix of style, camera smarts, and daily dependability.
