Motorola Edge 60 Pro launched in India with flagship features and built-in AI tools
Motorola has launched its latest premium smartphone, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, in India. The phone starts at ₹29,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB model. The 12 GB/256 GB variant is priced at ₹33,999. It is now available for pre-order and will go on sale from May 7 via Flipkart, Motorola’s online store, and retail outlets.
Large pOLED display and strong build quality
The Edge 60 Pro features a 6.7-inch quad-curved pOLED display. It has a 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. This makes the screen bright and smooth, even in outdoor conditions.
Motorola has also ensured durability. The phone is IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water protection. It is also certified to meet military standards, which adds extra confidence for rugged usage.
Big battery and fast charging—but wireless speed feels limited
One of the highlights of the Edge 60 Pro is its 6000 mAh battery. It supports 90 W fast charging with a charger included in the box. However, its 15 W wireless charging feels slower compared to what other brands now offer in this price range.
Still, the large battery size promises all-day usage without worry.
Power-packed performance with a focus on future-ready software
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset. It is paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage.
Motorola ships the Edge 60 Pro with Android 15 out of the box. It promises 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches. This is a good commitment for users who want their phones to stay up to date longer.
Camera setup stands out in front and back
Motorola has gone all in on cameras here. On the front, there’s a 50 MP selfie camera, one of the highest resolution sensors in this segment.
The rear camera setup includes a 50 MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide lens with macro support, and a 10 MP 3x telephoto camera. This makes the Edge 60 Pro versatile for different photography needs.
However, real-world performance and camera tuning will need more testing to see if it truly matches competitors in photo quality.
AI integration is Motorola’s big bet
The Edge 60 Pro is the first smartphone to ship with Perplexity AI onboard. Motorola is offering 3 months of Perplexity Pro for free. The phone also comes with Microsoft Copilot and Google’s Gemini Advanced built-in. Gemini access includes 2 TB of cloud storage for three months.
These additions position the Edge 60 Pro as an AI-ready device, but their actual usefulness depends on how well they are integrated into daily tasks.
Available in fresh Pantone shades
The phone comes in three colours: Pantone Dazzling Blue, Shadow, and Sparkling Grape. All three shades give the device a bold, premium feel.
Verdict: Solid value with a few trade-offs
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro brings several top-tier features under ₹30,000, like the curved display, large battery, and AI tools. However, the phone’s 15 W wireless charging could have been faster, and MediaTek’s new chip will need time to prove itself against Snapdragon rivals.
Still, for users looking for something fresh and AI-friendly with long battery life and a great display, the Edge 60 Pro is worth a close look.
