Foxconn’s Humanoid Robots
Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and a key Nvidia partner, has announced plans to deploy humanoid robots at its AI server production plant in Houston, Texas.
The announcement came during Nvidia’s developer conference in Washington, D.C., marking a major step in Foxconn’s global automation strategy.
Humanoid Robots for AI Server Production
Foxconn confirmed that the Houston plant, which produces AI servers for Nvidia, will soon use humanoid robots powered by the Nvidia Isaac GR00T N model. The project aims to build one of the world’s first AI-powered smart factories.
According to Foxconn, the first phase of humanoid robot deployment will begin by the first quarter of 2026. This follows months of joint testing and collaboration with Nvidia. The move represents a key step toward smarter, data-driven manufacturing.
Building the AI Smart Factory of the Future
The Houston factory will be among the first to merge robotics, AI, and large-scale production. With this, Foxconn plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Moreover, the company aims to automate repetitive tasks so workers can focus on higher-value roles.
This initiative aligns with Foxconn’s broader goal to lead in AI-driven manufacturing. By integrating advanced robotics, the company seeks to set a global benchmark for AI-powered production systems.
Expanding AI Server Production Across the U.S.
Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also plans to expand its AI server production network in Texas, Wisconsin, and California. The company said this will help meet rising global demand for AI infrastructure.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu emphasized that these facilities will play a crucial role in supporting advanced AI data center solutions.
“Our team is bringing the most advanced AI data center solutions to the United States, which will help our leading customers stay ahead in the AI race,” Liu said.
With this expansion, Foxconn aims to strengthen its manufacturing footprint across the U.S. while supporting global AI growth.
Partnership Strengthens Nvidia-Foxconn Collaboration
The partnership builds on a growing collaboration between Nvidia and Foxconn in AI technology. Earlier this year, both companies discussed plans to develop smart manufacturing systems using Nvidia’s robotics and simulation platforms.
Industry experts believe this move could redefine large-scale factory operations, combining human-like robotics and advanced AI systems to manage production.
Why It Matters
Foxconn’s adoption of humanoid robots signals how manufacturing is evolving into a data-driven, AI-assisted ecosystem. The move also reflects the increasing collaboration between leading hardware and AI firms as industries race to scale their AI infrastructure globally.
As the AI revolution continues, factories like Foxconn’s Houston plant could become templates for the next generation of intelligent manufacturing — where robots, AI models, and data systems work together seamlessly.
