Alexa Plus website goes live for early users

Alexa Plus website is now live

Amazon has quietly switched on the Alexa Plus website for some users. The new experience appears on Alexa.com. Until recently, the site only showed basic information. Now, it opens a full web-based Alexa Plus interface for logged-in users.

The rollout looks limited for now. Access requires early access. Users also need an Amazon Prime account. Amazon plans a standalone subscription later.

Alexa Plus moves beyond voice commands

The website closely mirrors the chatbot seen inside the Alexa app. Users land on a simple blue-and-white screen. A text box invites typed queries instead of spoken commands.

This change makes the website easier to use at desks and workplaces. Many users prefer typing over voice. The web interface removes friction completely.

Built-in prompts simplify Alexa Plus usage

The interface includes structured menus such as Plan, Learn, Create, Shop, and Find. Each menu offers prebuilt prompts to guide conversations.

Users can plan trips, create study guides, shop trending products, or book restaurants. These features already exist on Echo devices. On the web, they feel faster and more intuitive.

Smart home controls arrive on the web

Alexa Plus on the web provides direct access to smart home controls. Devices respond quickly through the sidebar interface. Users can manage connected products without opening the app.

The sidebar also shows recent chats, calendars, lists, reminders, and tasks. A dedicated files section stores uploads, photos, and shared emails. Everything stays accessible in one place.

Alexa Plus positions itself as a full AI assistant

Amazon’s move signals a broader strategy for the website. The assistant is no longer limited to home use. The web interface places it alongside other AI tools users rely on daily.

Users can manage tasks, shopping lists, and smart devices during work hours. Alexa Plus now feels designed for constant access across screens.

Limited rollout with paid plans ahead

Access to Alexa.com remains restricted to select users. Amazon says Alexa Plus still requires Prime during early access. A wider release is expected in the coming months.

Amazon has also confirmed a standalone subscription. It will cost $19.99 per month without Prime.
