Qualcomm has officially confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will debut on November 26 in China. The announcement comes weeks after the company teased the chip alongside the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The new processor targets users who want top-end performance without the heat issues linked to ultra-tier flagships.

OnePlus Ace 6T Becomes First to Use the Chip

OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis shared on Weibo that the OnePlus Ace 6T will be the first phone to run the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The company has already teased the phone for a November launch. Therefore, the Ace 6T should appear on or shortly after the chipset announcement, but definitely before December begins.

Early Specs Already Create Buzz

The Ace 6T will feature a 165Hz display for smoother visuals. It will also support 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. These early confirmations make the device one of the most powerful mid-flagships of the year.
Leaked details also suggest the phone will launch in Black, Purple, and Green — colors similar to the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup.

OnePlus 15R Expected to Be a Rebrand

The OnePlus 15R for global markets will likely be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 6T. Earlier reports hinted at the Ace 6 as the global model, but that no longer seems accurate. The Ace 6T now appears to be the real candidate.
