On its internal charts, GPT-5.2 Thinking edges out Gemini 3 and Claude Opus 4.5 across key reasoning tests. These include SWE-Bench Pro for real software engineering, GPQA Diamond for scientific knowledge, and ARC-AGI suites for abstract reasoning.

Therefore, the model is positioned as a direct answer to Gemini 3’s Deep Think mode.
