Holiday Offer: How To Access Double Usage Limits For OpenAI and Anthropic

Access To Coding Agent, Codex, and Claude Available For Limited Users

OpenAI and Anthropic are ending the year with a usage boost for select AI users. Both companies have announced limited-time holiday offers that double usage limits on their popular AI tools. The move is aimed at developers and professionals who often hit platform caps during high workloads.

The keyword OpenAI is trending as developers react to the sudden increase in access.

OpenAI Doubles Codex Limits Till January 1

OpenAI has temporarily increased usage limits for its AI coding agent, Codex. The company has reset rate limits and lifted them to twice the usual level. This benefit runs until January 1, 2026.

The announcement came from OpenAI’s Member of Technical Staff, Thibault Sottiaux, on X. The post highlighted the offer as a holiday gesture for Codex users.

Codex is designed for coding-focused tasks. It supports end-to-end software development using text prompts and images. Developers can access Codex through the command-line interface, ChatGPT, and popular IDEs like Visual Studio Code and Cursor.

For users building or testing projects during the holiday period, the expanded limit allows longer sessions and heavier workloads without interruptions.

Anthropic Offers 2x Usage on Claude

Anthropic has also launched a holiday promotion for its AI assistant, Claude. Pro and Max subscribers receive double their usual usage limits from December 25 to December 31.

The announcement appeared on Claude’s official social media handle. Anthropic has also detailed the offer on its support page.

The promotion applies across Claude’s mobile, desktop, and web platforms. Both existing users and new subscribers who join during the promotional window qualify. However, Team and Enterprise plans are not included.

Once the offer ends, usage limits will return to normal levels based on each subscription tier.

Why These Holiday Offers Matter

AI platforms rely on usage caps to manage demand across paid tiers. These caps often operate on rolling windows or weekly limits. During intense work cycles, users can hit those limits quickly.

By doubling usage, OpenAI and Anthropic are giving developers more room to experiment, test, and ship work before the year ends. The timing aligns with year-end projects and planning cycles across the tech industry.
