Google Tightens Free Nano Banana Limits
Google has quietly reduced free Nano Banana Pro image generation to two images per day. The company confirmed the move in its support notes and said the limits may change often. The feature has seen a surge in demand, which pushed Google to restrict daily usage again.
Free Users Face More AI Caps
Earlier, free users could create three images each day. Now, they can try only two. The limit resets daily. Google says image creation and editing are “in high demand,” and the company wants to manage the surge responsibly.
Gemini 3 Pro Free Use Also Shrinks
Google has also narrowed access to Gemini 3 Pro for non-paying users. When the model launched on November 18, Google offered five free prompts each day. Now, the support page lists only “basic access,” with daily limits that may change without notice.
Paid Plans Remain Unaffected
Users subscribed to AI Pro or AI Ultra will not see changes. Their prompt limits stay at 100 and 500 per day. The restrictions affect only free users who rely on Nano Banana and Gemini 3 Pro for casual generation or quick experimentation.
AI Platforms Are Facing Similar Strain
Other AI companies have faced the same problem. OpenAI once delayed its free image generator rollout due to unexpected demand. Eventually, the company restored free access.
As AI tools grow more popular, platforms continue to adjust limits to keep systems stable for everyone.
