Vivo on Monday launched its new foldable, the X Fold 5 at ₹1,49,999 and the X200 FE at ₹54,999. The company aims to take on Samsung and others in the flagship and upper-midrange segments.

Vivo X Fold 5 Gets Slimmer, Stronger, Smarter

The Vivo X Fold 5 features a 6.53-inch AMOLED outer screen and a larger 8.03-inch inner foldable display, both supporting 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. The outer screen is protected by second-gen Armor Glass, offering better scratch resistance.

Vivo claims the X Fold 5 measures just 9.2 mm when folded and 4.3 mm when open, with a weight of 217 grams. It is the first foldable phone in India to offer IP58, IP59 water resistance and IP5X dust protection.

Biggest Battery on a Foldable Yet

This foldable packs a 6,000 mAh battery, the largest in any foldable phone globally, and supports 80W fast charging. It also includes 40W wireless charging, a rare feature even among premium flagships.

Performance Backed by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It ships with Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15.

Triple 50 MP Camera Setup with ZEISS Optics

The X Fold 5 sports a 50 MP VCS bionic main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP ZEISS telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x HyperZoom. For selfies, it includes dual 20 MP lenses — one on each screen.

AI Tools and Shortcut Button Make a Debut

The device introduces a Shortcut Button for quick access to tools. It integrates Gemini AI Assistant and Vivo’s AI Imaging Suite, which includes tools like AI Magic Move, Image Expander, and Reflection Erase.

Vivo X200 FE Brings Flagship Feel at Lower Price

Launched alongside, the Vivo X200 FE starts at ₹54,999 and aims to replicate the premium X200 Pro experience at a lower price point.

It features a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and an incredible 5,000 nits peak brightness. It comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it one of the most rugged phones in its segment.

Massive Battery and Flagship Processor

The X200 FE houses a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging, which is among the fastest in the segment. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

ZEISS Optics with Up to 100x Zoom

It includes a 50 MP ZEISS telephoto lens with 100x zoom, a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP selfie camera.

Color Options and Availability

The X200 FE will be available in Amber Yellow, Forest Blue, and Luxe Grey. Sales begin July 23. The X Fold 5 will be available from July 30, with pre-bookings already open.
