Tapo’s New Solar Floodlight Camera
TP-Link’s Tapo brand has introduced a new way to keep homes secure — even in the darkest corners. The Tapo C615F, a solar-powered floodlight camera, runs completely on sunlight while delivering 2K video and 360-degree coverage.
Because it doesn’t need constant charging or wiring, this smart camera works perfectly in areas without electricity. It costs $89.99 for a limited time, or $99.99 regularly, and is already available on Tapo’s online store and Amazon.
Power of sunlight, all day and night
The Tapo C615F operates for up to 24 hours with just 45 minutes of sunlight. Its detachable solar panel lets users install it separately for better sunlight exposure. Even without daily charging, the camera can last up to 140 days on its built-in battery, depending on usage patterns.
Users can store recordings locally on a microSD card (up to 512GB) or in the cloud with a Tapo Care subscription, starting at $3.49 per month. This flexibility helps homeowners manage their footage easily.
Bright light and smart tracking
The camera features an 800-lumen LED floodlight that instantly brightens dark areas. During installation, users can adjust both the light’s angle and brightness to cover specific zones. Moreover, it can turn on manually or automatically when motion triggers it.
With its pan-tilt system, the Tapo C615F rotates 360 degrees and tilts 130 degrees, ensuring full-area visibility. It also uses AI-powered tracking to recognize and follow people, vehicles, and pets without any extra subscription fees.
Built for any weather
The Tapo C615F is ready for outdoor conditions. It comes with an IP65 rating that shields it from dust, rain, and snow. Plus, its two-way audio allows users to communicate directly through the camera, adding another layer of security.
Even when the floodlight is off, its color night vision and infrared LEDs keep footage clear. As a result, the camera maintains visibility day and night, no matter the lighting.
Smarter, sustainable security for everyone
By combining solar energy with AI-based surveillance, TP-Link’s Tapo makes outdoor security more sustainable and accessible. The Tapo C615F removes wiring hassles, reduces power costs, and extends smart monitoring to every corner — powered simply by sunlight.
