The first design leak of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus is finally here. The images, shared exclusively by Android Headlines, reveal what Samsung’s next flagship will look like. The Galaxy S26 Plus will replace the previously rumored Galaxy S26 Edge, which the company has now dropped.
A familiar yet refined design
According to the leaked renders, the Galaxy S26 Plus will feature a flat 6.7-inch display with thin, uniform bezels. The front camera will sit neatly in a centered punch-hole. Samsung seems to be following the same visual language as the Galaxy S25+, but with a few refined touches. The corners are slightly more rounded, and the sides appear flatter for better grip and comfort.
All the buttons, including the power and volume keys, will be on the right side. The phone will reportedly measure 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35mm, making it thin yet sturdy.
A new camera layout
The biggest visual change lies on the back. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus will sport a pill-shaped vertical camera island in the top-left corner. The setup includes three separate camera sensors with an LED flash beside them. The design is simpler than the rumored Galaxy S26 Edge, which was expected to have a large camera bar.
The back panel will remain flat with subtle branding near the bottom. This new layout gives the phone a cleaner, more minimal look while maintaining Samsung’s signature style.
Expected hardware and performance
While Samsung has not confirmed specifications, leaks suggest a dual-chip strategy again this year. Depending on the region, the Galaxy S26 Plus could ship with either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor.
RAM details remain unconfirmed, but the phone is expected to offer 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, likely in 256GB and 512GB variants. There will be no microSD slot for expansion.
Display and battery details
The Galaxy S26 Plus is tipped to use a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X panel with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen resolution could be 3120 x 1440, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It will retain a flat display design, in line with the rest of the Galaxy S26 series.
Battery details remain uncertain, but Samsung may stick with the 4,900mAh unit seen in the Galaxy S25+. Fast charging up to 45W wired and 15W or 25W wireless is expected. The phone will also support Qi2 wireless charging, though a charger won’t be included in the box.
Camera rumors
Camera details are still unclear, but early reports suggest the Galaxy S26 Plus could feature a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 12MP telephoto setup. However, experts believe these numbers may not reflect the final hardware, and Samsung may retain most of the Galaxy S25+ sensors with improved processing.
Software and connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus will likely debut with Android 16 and One UI 8.5. Connectivity options may include Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, and IP68 water resistance. The phone is also expected to have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung’s naming shift
Samsung reportedly changed its naming plan after poor sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The company had originally planned to launch the Galaxy S26 Edge, but the familiar Galaxy S26+ branding is returning. This decision also brought subtle changes to the phone’s overall design and build.
