Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Goes Global With 200MP Camera and Faster Charging

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus makes its international debut

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus to international markets. The smartphone arrives months after its China launch. However, the global version brings several hardware changes that set it apart. These updates focus mainly on the camera, battery, and display protection.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus remains positioned as a premium mid-range phone. At the same time, Xiaomi aims to offer flagship-style features to global buyers.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ brings a major camera upgrade

The biggest change appears in the camera department. The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a 200MP HPE primary camera. This replaces the 50MP sensor found on the Chinese model.

The new camera supports 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom. It also works across five focal lengths, ranging from 23mm to 92mm. This setup allows more flexible shooting without a dedicated telephoto lens.

Alongside the main sensor, the phone includes an 8MP ultrawide camera. However, Xiaomi has dropped the 50MP telephoto camera offered in China. On the front, the device continues to use a 32MP selfie camera.

Battery capacity drops but charging gets faster

The international Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. This is smaller than the 7,000mAh battery used in the Chinese version. Despite this change, charging speeds have improved.

The phone supports 100W fast wired charging. It also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging. Interestingly, the global model is slightly thicker, even with a smaller battery.

AMOLED display stays bright and smooth

Xiaomi has retained the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display for the global model. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 3,200 nits peak brightness.

However, the resolution changes slightly to 2772 x 1280 pixels. The Chinese model featured a lower vertical resolution. For protection, Xiaomi uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the international version.

Performance and connectivity remain unchanged

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. This remains the same across both versions. The phone ships with HyperOS out of the box.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and eSIM support. The device also features dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support. Xiaomi adds strong durability with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.

The phone also supports Xiaomi’s offline communication feature. This allows device-to-device voice communication without network coverage.

Pricing and expected India cost

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus comes in Black, Mocha Brown, and Glacier Blue color options. Buyers can choose between 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB storage variants.

In global markets, pricing starts at €499 and goes up to €549. Converted to Indian pricing, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to start around ₹45,000. The top variant could reach close to ₹50,000.

Pre-orders for the smartphone will begin on January 5.
