Xiaomi has kicked off its 2026 product cycle in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. The new devices mark Redmi’s first releases of the year and signal a noticeable shift in pricing for the brand’s popular affordable lineup.

The Redmi Note series, long known for aggressive pricing, now enters a higher bracket as component and memory costs continue to rise. Despite the increase, Xiaomi has packed the new models with competitive specifications.

Redmi Note 15 5G: Display Takes Center Stage

The Redmi Note 15 5G features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use. Xiaomi has also added an IP66 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The device runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box, continuing Xiaomi’s transition to its new software platform.

A 5,520mAh battery keeps the phone running through the day, and Xiaomi includes a 45W fast charger in the box.

Camera and Pricing Details

On the camera front, the Redmi Note 15 5G uses a 108MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 20MP front camera.

Pricing starts at ₹19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB and 256GB model costs ₹21,999. Sales begin on January 9 across online and offline channels.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Brings Large Screen and 5G Support

Alongside the phone, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G. The tablet features a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, and Dolby Vision support. It also supports stylus input and keyboard accessories.

The tablet runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It ships with HyperOS 2 and includes AI features such as Circle to Search and Gemini AI.

A large 12,000mAh battery powers the tablet, supported by a 33W charger. It also offers 27W reverse charging and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Tablet Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G starts at ₹22,999 for the Wi-Fi variant. The Wi-Fi plus 5G version costs ₹25,999, while the 8GB and 256GB model is priced at ₹27,999. Sales begin on January 12 via Flipkart, Amazon, Mi stores, and retail outlets.
