Poco F8 Series Goes Global With New Elite Power

The Poco F8 Series is here, and Poco clearly wants attention in the premium space. The company unveiled the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro in global markets with brighter screens, bigger batteries, new Snapdragon Elite chipsets and upgraded cameras. The standard F8 is still missing, and history suggests that it could be the only model to reach India.

The Ultra starts at USD 729, while the Pro begins at USD 579. Early bird pricing drops both by USD 50. Poco aims to make the series look attractive against rising flagship prices.

Big Screens, Bigger Batteries and Bose Speakers

The Poco F8 Ultra brings a giant 6.9-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits brightness. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The Pro variant carries a compact 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with the same 120Hz refresh rate and similar brightness.

Poco also partnered with Bose to tune the stereo speakers on both models. This collaboration aims to boost the audio experience for movies, games and music.

Battery sizes remain a major highlight. The Ultra packs a 6,500mAh cell with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The Pro offers a 6,210mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. These numbers make the F8 series one of the most power-focused launches this year.

Elite Chipsets Lead the Performance Game

Under the hood, the Poco F8 Ultra runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset. It pairs with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Poco F8 Pro uses the previous Elite chipset. It is the same processor found in the Poco F7 Ultra.

Both devices run on HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, and receive four years of Android updates with six years of security patches.

Camera Upgrades for Photography Lovers

The F8 Ultra features a triple 50MP setup, including a 5x periscope telephoto lens and OIS support. A 32MP front camera handles selfies. The Poco F8 Pro comes with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Selfies are managed by a 20MP camera.

These upgrades target users who want clearer low-light shots and sharper zoom.

Pricing Strategy Makes the Poco F8 Series Interesting

The global smartphone market is getting expensive, but Poco keeps the price focus intact. The new delivers flagship features without pushing into the USD 900 zone. Features like bright displays, big batteries, Elite chips and Bose audio make the Pro and Ultra look like value-driven options.

However, India buyers may need to wait. Poco has skipped its Ultra and Pro models before, and this trend may continue.
