Google Launches Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a & Pixelsnap Accessories
Google’s annual Made by Google 2025 event marked a decade of innovation. While the spotlight was on the Pixel 10 phones, the stage also belonged to the wider Pixel ecosystem. From the redesigned Watch 4 with satellite SOS to the first-ever A-series earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation and new Qi2-powered Pixelsnap accessories, Google expanded the brand into a smarter, more connected family of devices.
Here’s a closer look at everything else that was launched at the event:
Pixel Watch 4 Gets a Redesign and Satellite Connectivity
Google introduced Pixel Watch 4, calling it its most advanced watch yet. The smartwatch now features a curved Actua 360 display with 16% slimmer bezels and 50% brighter visuals. It offers up to 40 hours of battery life and supports faster charging.
For the first time, the Pixel Watch is serviceable, with a replaceable display and battery. It also becomes the world’s first smartwatch to support standalone satellite communication, allowing users to reach emergency services even without mobile coverage.
On the fitness front, Watch 4 delivers more accurate sleep tracking, new exercise modes, and dual-frequency GPS for precise route tracking. AI-powered auto detection ensures workouts are logged even when users forget to start them.
Pixel Buds 2a Bring Noise Cancellation to the A-Series
The Pixel Buds 2a were also introduced as the newest addition to the A-series lineup. For the first time, the affordable Pixel Buds offer Active Noise Cancellation powered by the Tensor A1 chip.
The earbuds promise 7 hours of listening time with ANC on, extending up to 20 hours with the case. They feature a secure fit with multiple eartip sizes, an IP54 sweat resistance rating, and a lightweight build.
Gemini AI is built in, offering hands-free help for tasks, summaries, and translations. With Multipoint and Fast Pair, the buds seamlessly switch across devices, while Find Hub makes locating them easier.
Pixelsnap Accessories Introduce Qi2 Charging
Google’s Pixel 10 series is the first Android lineup to support Qi2 wireless charging, a universal standard that uses magnets for better alignment. To complement this, Google launched new Pixelsnap accessories.
- Charger and Stand: Charges devices up to 25W and works even with the Fold unfolded.
- ing Stand: A snap-on stand that doubles as a grip for video calls or streaming.
- Cases: Designed for Pixel 10 devices in multiple colors, all compatible with Qi2 charging.
Alongside, Google also unveiled the Pixel Flex Dual Port 67W USB-C Fast Charger, capable of charging two devices at once with intelligent prioritization for its phones.
A Decade of Pixel, Now Powered by Gemini
This year marks ten years of Pixel, and Google emphasized its mission of making devices more proactive and personalized. Gemini AI is central to this shift, embedded across phones, watches, and earbuds to anticipate user needs and make everyday tasks easier.
From health tracking on the Watch 4 to hands-free help on the Buds 2a, and seamless charging with Qi2 accessories, the Pixel ecosystem is evolving beyond smartphones.
