Pebble is bringing back one of its most loved designs with the Pebble Round 2. The smartwatch revives the brand’s rounded display while keeping things simple, affordable, and lightweight. Priced at $199, the Pebble Round 2 stays true to Pebble’s original philosophy of doing less, but doing it well.

Unlike feature-heavy smartwatches, this device focuses on essentials. It tracks steps and sleep but skips heart rate monitoring. As a result, users get one major benefit—long battery life that stretches up to two weeks.

A Slimmer Look With a Bigger and Better Screen

Pebble once called its original Round model the thinnest smartwatch in the industry. The Pebble Round 2 carries that legacy forward. At just 8.1mm thick, it remains one of the slimmest smartwatches available today.

The watch now features a 1.3-inch color e-paper display with a 260 x 260 resolution. The sharper screen shows more text and looks cleaner than before. It also includes a backlight, making it readable in low-light conditions.

Pebble OS, Buttons, and Smart Simplicity

The Pebble Round 2 runs on the open-source Pebble OS. This gives users access to thousands of apps and watch faces from the Pebble Appstore. Developers can also update apps to support the rounded screen using Pebble’s SDK.

The smartwatch includes physical side buttons for quick actions. Users can silence calls, control music, and navigate the interface without even looking at the screen. Dual microphones allow voice replies and speech input on Android, with limited iOS support arriving in select regions.

Design Choices and Availability Details

Pebble offers the Round 2 in three finishes—matte black, silver, and polished rose gold. Each version supports different band sizes, adding flexibility for users. The watch comes with a silicone band, while leather options will be sold separately.

Preorders for the Pebble Round 2 begin on January 2 through Pebble’s website. Shipping is expected to start in May. Existing Pebble Time 2 customers can also switch their orders to the Round 2.
