Oppo F31 5G Series Strives to Set New Standard for Mid-Segment Phones

Oppo has launched the F31 5G series in India, aiming to deliver durability, smooth performance, and long-lasting power under ₹35,000. The line-up includes the F31 Pro+, F31 Pro, and the base F31.

Price and Availability

The Oppo F31 5G series will go on sale starting 19 September. The base F31 will be available from 27 September. Prices start at ₹22,999 with cashback, EMI, and accidental damage protection offers.

Design and Durability

Oppo highlights durability with a 360° Armor Body and aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium alloy frame. The phones are 10% stronger than the last generation. The display uses AGC DT-Star D+ glass for added protection.

The triple IP certifications — IP66, IP68, and IP69 — make the devices resistant to dust, immersion, and even high-pressure water jets up to 80°C. Oppo claims the phones can handle 18 everyday liquids including tea and detergent.

Performance and Cooling

The F31 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Pro and F31 run on MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy and Dimensity 6300 respectively. All variants support up to 24GB RAM (with virtual expansion) and UFS 3.1 storage.

Heat management is another focus. The Pro+ uses a 5,219 mm² vapour chamber, while the Pro and F31 include optimized cooling systems. Oppo’s Dual-Engine Smoothness System, with the Trinity and Luminous Rendering Engines, improves app response and ensures long-term fluency.

Cameras and AI Features

All models feature a 50MP OIS main camera. The Pro+ and Pro offer a 32MP selfie camera, while the base model has a 16MP front sensor.

Oppo adds AI tools like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Unblur, and Reflection Remover for photography. Productivity tools include AI VoiceScribe for transcription and AI Call Assistant with live translations in nine Indian languages.

Battery and Charging

Each device carries a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, delivering 58% charge in 30 minutes. Reverse charging and bypass charging features are also included.
