Oakley Meta AI Glasses Arrive in India on December 1

Meta is bringing its Oakley Meta HSTN AI glasses to India beginning December 1. The company has packed strong AI-ready hardware and localised software features to make the launch stand out. The glasses will arrive in six frame and lens combinations, with prices starting at ₹41,800.

Packed With 3K Camera and Open-Ear Speakers

The Oakley Meta AI Glasses focus on delivering hands-free moments. They include a high-resolution 3K video camera for sharp captures. Additionally, Meta has added open-ear speakers for clear audio without blocking ambient sound.

The glasses come with an IPX4 rating, which helps users handle splashes or sweat during outdoor activities. Therefore, they work well for sports, travel, or daily usage.

Battery life reaches up to eight hours on a single charge. Meanwhile, the charging case provides an additional 48 hours, which boosts long outdoor performance. Fast charging support allows quick top-ups during busy routines.

Meta AI Offers Instant Help in Hindi

Meta AI plays a central role in the Oakley Meta HSTN experience. Users can start interactions with “Hey Meta” and access instant answers, insights, and assistance.

Meta has also rolled out full Hindi interactions for India, powered by Sarvam’s language tools. This move brings conversational AI closer to everyday Indian users.

Moreover, Meta is introducing Celebrity AI Voice responses. Deepika Padukone is among the first voices available in English, which may appeal to a large user base.

UPI Payments Through the Glasses Are in Testing

Meta is experimenting with an India-specific financial feature. Users will be able to make UPI Lite payments through their WhatsApp-linked bank account by looking at a QR code while wearing the glasses.

The full process works through voice. Users just say, “Hey Meta, scan and pay,” to complete the payment. This tool aims to make small transactions seamless and hands-free.

Designed for Athletes and Real-Time Insights

Meta highlights that the Oakley Meta HSTN AI glasses target athletes and fitness-driven users. The glasses can offer fast insights like wind checks, surf updates, or performance cues. Users can record quick moments and share them directly on Stories with simple voice commands.

The collection is already available for pre-sale through Sunglass Hut. It will also reach leading eyewear and optical retailers across India soon.
