Nothing gears up for another launch
Nothing is preparing to launch the Nothing Phone 3a Lite Community Edition on December 9. The company revealed that it received over 700 submissions from its global community. Moreover, the winning creators will receive a £1,000 cash prize. This move highlights the brand’s growing push toward community-led hardware design.
Community Edition expected to mirror existing hardware
The Nothing Phone 3a Lite Community Edition is expected to use the same specifications as the Phone 3a Lite. This keeps expectations clear while the focus shifts to design, themes, and user-driven ideas.
A quick look at the Phone 3a Lite
Nothing launched the standard model on November 27. It features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and uses Panda glass on both sides. The device also carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash protection.
Battery and charging stay familiar
The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery. It supports 33W fast charging and 5W reverse charging. However, the charger is not included in the box, which follows the company’s recent trend.
Performance and software details
The Phone 3a Lite runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. It pairs with 8 GB RAM and offers up to 256 GB storage. Additionally, it ships with Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15.
Camera setup continues the Nothing approach
The device sports a 50 MP Samsung main sensor. It also includes an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. A 16 MP front lens handles selfies and video calls.
India pricing expected in the mid-segment
Nothing has not confirmed pricing for India. However, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite Community Edition is expected to land in the mid-segment, similar to the regular model.
