Nothing Phone 3 officially confirmed for July
Nothing has officially announced that the Nothing Phone 3 will launch in July 2025. This new phone is being called the company’s first real flagship device. Nothing CEO Carl Pei revealed during The Android Show: I/O Edition that the price will be over £800, which is more than ₹90,000 in India.
That’s a big jump from Nothing’s earlier phones, which cost around ₹30,000 to ₹45,000. For a company still building trust in the market, this new price may surprise many Indian buyers. India is a market where most people look for value and performance at lower costs. The premium segment here is mostly ruled by Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus.
What makes Phone 3 a ‘true flagship’?
Carl Pei said the Nothing Phone 3 would offer a serious upgrade in design, performance, and software. While the company has not shared the full details, some expected features are already creating buzz. Experts believe the phone could have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or 8s Gen 3 chip, up to 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.
The display might be a 6.78-inch flexible LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. This could make it one of the brightest screens on a smartphone.
Camera and battery upgrades in focus
The camera setup is also expected to improve a lot. Rumours suggest a triple 50 MP rear camera system, with one lens being a dedicated telephoto sensor. The front may feature a 32 MP selfie camera.
Battery life is important for Indian users, and Nothing seems to know that. So, the Phone 3 could have a battery size above 5,000 mAh. But, like the earlier models, it may not come with a charger in the box.
Is India ready for a ₹90,000 Nothing phone?
The biggest question is whether Indian users will spend ₹90,000 or more on a Nothing Phone 3. While tech fans may get excited, most buyers in India still compare value and brand trust. Competing with Apple and Samsung in this price range is tough.
Still, Nothing has managed to build a unique identity. Its transparent design and clean software have already built a loyal fan base. If the Phone 3 truly delivers on its promises, it might find takers even in the premium segment.
