With this launch, Motorola is focusing on long-term usability. The Edge 70 ships with Android 16 and promises extended software support, which remains rare in this price segment.
Display and Build Take Centre Stage
The Motorola Edge 70 features a 6.7-inch Super HD AMOLED display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The panel also supports HDR10+ and carries Pantone validation.
Motorola has placed a strong focus on durability. The phone meets MIL-STD-810H standards and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Android 16
Powering the Edge 70 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Motorola pairs it with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The phone runs Hello UI based on Android 16. Motorola has confirmed three Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. The device also includes motoAI 2.0 features along with Google Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity integrations.
50MP Cameras Across the Board
Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 with a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the phone features a 50MP selfie camera.
All cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps. Motorola is positioning the Edge 70 as a balanced camera phone rather than focusing on a single sensor.
Battery, Charging, and Connectivity
The Edge 70 packs a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 68W fast charging, with the charger included in the box. The phone also supports 15W wireless charging, adding convenience for daily use.
