Meta and Sarvam AI Team Up to Bring Hindi Voice to Ray-Ban Meta Glasses

In a Limited Period Offer, Take Diwali-restyled Photos with Meta Glasses

Meta has partnered with Indian AI company Sarvam AI to bring full Hindi support to Ray-Ban Meta glasses. This collaboration marks a big step in making wearables more accessible and relevant to Indian users. The update allows users to talk to their AI glasses entirely in Hindi for hands-free interactions.

Starting this week, users can set Hindi as their preferred language in the Meta AI app under Device Settings > Meta AI > Language and Voice. Once enabled, users can ask questions, get real-time updates, take photos and videos, control music, or respond to calls—all in natural Hindi.

Powered by Sarvam’s language models, this feature helps Meta’s AI understand and respond in a more human and localized way. It also lays the foundation for broader Indic language integration in future Meta devices.

Hands-Free Interactions in Hindi

With Hindi voice support, Ray-Ban Meta glasses can now respond to everyday commands in the user’s preferred language. Whether you’re taking a quick selfie, checking the weather, or sending a text, the experience is now smoother and more natural.

This addition also highlights Meta’s growing focus on bringing AI-powered wearables to non-English speakers. By using Sarvam’s foundational models, Meta ensures that interactions are not just translated but culturally and linguistically relevant.

Celebrate Diwali with AI-Enhanced Photos

To mark the festive season, Meta has rolled out Diwali-themed photo restyling for Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Users can say, “Hey Meta, Restyle This,” and watch their captures transform with lights, rangoli, and fireworks.

These limited-time effects blend AI creativity with the joy of Indian festivals. The restyled photos can be viewed and shared through the Meta AI app, making the feature both interactive and fun for users during Diwali celebrations.

Testing UPI Payments on Smart Glasses

Meta is also testing UPI Lite payments through Ray-Ban Meta glasses. The feature, showcased at the Global Fintech Fest, will soon allow users to make small payments below ₹1,000 directly from their glasses.

By simply looking at a QR code and saying, “Hey Meta, scan and pay,” users can make secure transactions through their WhatsApp-linked bank accounts. This experiment could make daily transactions faster, hands-free, and integrated into wearable technology.

Localized AI for Everyday Life

With Sarvam’s Indic language models, Diwali-inspired creativity, and digital payment trials, Ray-Ban Meta glasses are becoming more useful and personal for Indian users. Meta’s partnership with Sarvam represents the growing influence of Indian AI innovation on global tech platforms.

As AI-powered glasses evolve, this move shows how localized intelligence and festive creativity can make technology feel closer to home.
