LG’s Thinnest OLED Yet: W6 Wallpaper TV Goes Wireless and Glare-Free

LG W6 Wallpaper OLED TV Redefines Ultra-Thin Television Design

LG has unveiled the W6 Wallpaper OLED TV at CES 2026, and it pushes the idea of wall-mounted televisions further than before. At just 9mm thick, the TV is designed to blend into the wall rather than sit on it. The company says the improved mounting system allows the screen to stay flush from edge to edge, creating a clean, frame-like look.

Unlike typical OLED TVs, the W6 focuses as much on placement as it does on performance. LG positions it as a premium living-room display that prioritises both design and everyday usability.

Ultra-High Brightness Brings a Major OLED Upgrade

Brightness has long been an OLED limitation, especially in well-lit rooms. LG claims it has addressed this directly. The LG W6 Wallpaper OLED TV uses a new OLED structure combined with Brightness Booster Ultra and Hyper Radiant Color Technology.

According to the company, the result is a screen that is 3.9 times brighter than standard OLED panels. This improvement aims to deliver stronger highlights, richer colours, and clearer visibility during daytime viewing.

Reflection-Free Screen Targets Real-World Viewing

LG also introduces what it calls its lowest reflectance panel yet. The W6 features a reflection-free coating designed to reduce glare from lamps and windows. This change should make the TV easier to watch in bright environments.

OLED panels often struggle to retain deep blacks under room lighting. LG says its new coating helps reduce that compromise. Demonstrations at CES highlighted better contrast retention even when lights were switched on.

Wireless Connection Box Simplifies Setup

The W6 includes a wireless connection box that houses HDMI ports and other inputs. Users can place this box up to 30 feet away from the TV, keeping cables out of sight. However, the TV still requires a power connection.

This setup builds on LG’s earlier wireless OLED concepts while refining reliability and placement flexibility.

Built for Gaming and Smart Features

LG equips the W6 with features aimed at gamers. The TV supports 4K resolution at 165Hz, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. LG also claims a 0.1ms pixel response time, which is typical for OLED panels.

In addition, the TV includes wallpapers and AI-powered features for users who want customisation beyond traditional viewing.

Sizes, Pricing, and Availability

The LG W6 Wallpaper OLED TV will be available in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes. LG has not yet announced pricing or availability timelines.
