Lava Shark 2 4G Launched in India at ₹6,999

Lava Launches Shark 2 4G in India with 120Hz display and Android 15

Lava has introduced its latest entry-level smartphone, the Shark 2 4G, in India. Priced at ₹6,999, the phone aims to offer a feature-rich experience for budget-conscious buyers.

The smartphone is part of Lava’s effort to strengthen its 4G lineup for users who prefer affordable yet reliable Android devices.

Display and design

The Lava Shark 2 4G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is rare in this price range. The screen comes with a waterdrop notch, giving it a clean look.

Lava has also added IP54 certification for dust and water resistance, a useful feature for users seeking durability in daily use. The device will be available in two colour options — Eclipse Grey and Aurora Gold.

Performance and software

Powering the smartphone is the Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also supports 4GB of virtual RAM for better multitasking.

The Lava Shark 2 4G runs Android 15 out of the box, offering a clean and near-stock Android experience. Lava has promised one major Android update and two years of security updates, ensuring longer usability for buyers.

Camera setup

For photography, the device sports a 50MP rear camera, which is impressive for its segment. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera housed in the display notch.

The camera app includes standard features such as Portrait mode, AI scene detection, and Night mode to enhance image quality.

Battery and charging

The Lava Shark 2 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring a full day of usage for most users. It ships with a 10W Type-C charger in the box, and the phone supports up to 18W fast charging.

This combination of battery size and USB Type-C charging makes it more convenient for users upgrading from older devices.

Availability and pricing

The Lava Shark 2 4G will be available across all retail stores in India starting this week. At ₹6,999, it offers a balance of performance, modern features, and software updates — making it one of the more appealing options in the budget category.

With the launch of Shark 2 4G, Lava continues to expand its presence in the sub-₹10,000 segment, providing Indian consumers with more local alternatives in the smartphone market.
