JBL Unveils PartyBox 720 and Boombox 4 with Bigger Sound and Longer Battery

JBL Launches PartyBox 720 and Boombox 4

JBL has announced the PartyBox 720, its biggest battery-powered speaker yet. Designed for large gatherings, the PartyBox 720 delivers 800W of power. It comes with a replaceable battery that lasts up to 15 hours.

The speaker is equipped with two 9-inch woofers and two 30mm dome tweeters. JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology enhances the audio output without distortion, ensuring clear sound even at high volume.

Features made for parties

The PartyBox 720 supports Auracast for connecting multiple speakers. It also includes USB-C connectivity for direct streaming. For live music, the speaker has two XLR ports to connect microphones, guitars, or DJ consoles.

Adding to the experience, JBL has integrated a synchronized lightshow that reacts to music beats. The company highlights karaoke-ready features, making it suitable for home parties and events.

Pricing and availability of PartyBox 720

The PartyBox 720 is priced at $1,099. It is more affordable than Marshall’s recent $1,300 launch but still a premium device. Pre-orders are live now, and shipments will begin on September 21.

JBL Boombox 4 brings lighter and longer playtime

Alongside the PartyBox 720, JBL introduced the Boombox 4, a refreshed version of the popular Boombox 3. This update includes AI Sound Boost for louder, distortion-free sound.

Weighing almost two pounds less than its predecessor, the Boombox 4 is easier to carry outdoors. With IP68 dust and water resistance, it is built for all-weather use. The speaker also supports Auracast for linking with other JBL devices.

The replaceable battery offers up to 28 hours of playback, making it one of the longest-lasting portable Bluetooth speakers.

Price and release date of Boombox 4

The JBL Boombox 4 is available in three colors and costs $550. Pre-orders are open now, and the speaker will start shipping on September 28.

JBL expands portable speaker lineup

With these launches, JBL has expanded its portable lineup with two distinct offerings. The PartyBox 720 caters to large-scale parties, while the Boombox 4 is built for outdoor portability. Both highlight JBL’s push for stronger sound, longer battery life, and better connectivity through AI Sound Boost and Auracast.
