HP has launched the HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop in India. It marks the debut of HP’s new HyperX gaming series, first unveiled at CES 2026. The move matters because HP is now positioning HyperX Omen as its core line for modern AAA gaming and content creation.

The new model runs Windows 11 and targets users who demand high frame rates, fast input response, and AI-driven performance tuning.

What powers the HyperX Omen 15?

The laptop runs on Intel’s 14th Gen Core i7-14650HX processor. Graphics come from Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 GPU. Together, they place the machine in the upper mid-range gaming segment.

HP claims up to 170W total processor power. This is aimed at sustaining performance during long gaming sessions and heavy creative workloads.

The keyboard supports an 8K polling rate. That means faster input recognition, a feature competitive gamers look for.

How good is the display?

The HyperX Omen 15 features a 15.3-inch IPS panel with a 2.5K resolution of 2560 x 1600. It offers a 180Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and 500 nits peak brightness.

HP also lists a 91% screen-to-body ratio and full 100% sRGB colour coverage. This makes the panel suitable not just for gaming, but also for photo and video work.

Can AI really boost gaming performance?

HP adds Omen AI and Unleashed Mode to this laptop. These tools claim to automatically adjust performance and thermal behaviour in real time.

The system also uses Omen Tempest Cooling. It can reverse airflow to push out dust through the Omen Gaming Hub. HP’s Omen AI beta is available worldwide.

Omen Gaming Hub allows deeper control, including per-key RGB lighting and an optional RGB light bar.

HP will sell the HyperX Omen 15 on Flipkart and through select offline channels. The laptop starts at ₹1,49,999 and comes in a Shadow Black finish.
