Dell is bringing back one of its most iconic laptop brands. At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the company officially reintroduced Dell XPS laptops, marking a clear shift back to premium consumer devices. The new lineup includes the XPS 14 and XPS 16, both redesigned from the ground up.

This move follows Dell’s short-lived simplified branding strategy. Now, the XPS name is back, and it carries a sharper focus on design, performance, and everyday usability.

A Fresh Design With a Premium Focus

The new Dell XPS laptops feature a CNC-machined aluminium body. They also show off the XPS logo more prominently on the lid. Dell says these are the thinnest XPS laptops ever, measuring just 14.6mm.

Moreover, the company claims noticeable weight reduction. As a result, the new XPS models aim to balance portability with a premium feel. This shift clearly targets professionals and creators who want powerful yet sleek machines.

AI and Performance Take Centre Stage

Both the Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 run on upcoming Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. These chips pair with integrated Intel Arc graphics featuring 12 Xe cores. According to Dell, this combination delivers major improvements in AI tasks and graphics performance.

In addition, the laptops support Copilot+ PC features. This highlights Dell’s push toward AI-first computing. Meanwhile, an upgraded thermal system with thinner fans helps keep noise levels low during heavy use.

Battery Life That Stands Out

Dell is making bold battery claims this year. The new XPS lineup is said to offer up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming and over 40 hours of video playback. If these numbers hold up, the XPS laptops could set a new benchmark for endurance in the premium Windows segment.

Dell plans to ship the XPS 14 and XPS 16 in select markets starting March 2026. Pricing details will come closer to launch. The more affordable XPS 13 is also expected later this year.

Alienware Expands Beyond Hardcore Gaming

Alongside XPS, Dell refreshed its Alienware lineup. Existing models now get Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Notably, Alienware has added anti-glare OLED displays, aiming to reduce reflections without sacrificing contrast.

Dell also teased two new Alienware categories. One focuses on ultra-slim gaming laptops, while the other targets entry-level gamers. These moves signal Dell’s intent to cover every gaming segment in 2026.
