Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo Returns With Dual 16-inch OLED Screens at CES 2026

Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo Makes a Bold Return at CES 2026

Asus has brought back the ROG Zephyrus Duo at CES 2026, and this time the change is hard to miss. After a three-year gap, the gaming laptop finally delivers what many users wanted from the start. It now features two full-sized 16-inch OLED screens, instead of a primary display paired with a narrow secondary panel.

This redesign turns the ROG Zephyrus Duo into a proper dual-screen gaming laptop. At the same time, it aligns better with how gamers and creators actually work.

ScreenPad Plus Is Gone, Full Dual Screens Take Over

Earlier versions of the ROG Zephyrus Duo relied on a tilted ScreenPad Plus. While useful, it forced a cramped keyboard layout. Asus has now removed it completely. In its place sits a second full-sized OLED touchscreen.

Together, the two displays offer 213 percent more screen space. Both panels deliver a 3K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,100 nits of HDR brightness. As a result, multitasking, streaming tools, and creative workflows feel more natural.

New Hinge Unlocks Five Usage Modes

Asus has also reworked the hinge and added a built-in kickstand. The hinge rotates up to 320 degrees, enabling five different modes.

These include Dual-Screen, Laptop, Sharing, Book, and Tent modes. The detachable keyboard charges automatically when docked. Meanwhile, the centered touchpad finally fixes one of the biggest complaints from earlier models.

Flagship Performance Meets Heavy Cooling

Powering the new Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo is Intel’s latest Core Ultra processor. Buyers can configure it with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics. The laptop also supports up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage.

To manage heat, Asus uses a vapor chamber, liquid metal cooling, dual fans, and a graphite layer beneath the second display. This setup aims to keep performance stable during long gaming sessions.

Design, Ports, and What to Expect Next

The laptop comes in a new Stellar Gray aluminum chassis. It also features a diagonal RGB Slash Lighting strip on the lid. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI, and an SD card slot.

At 6.28 pounds, it is heavier than its predecessor. Asus has not revealed pricing yet, but expectations remain high given past models.
