Ai+ Smartphone has officially stepped into the flip phone race. The company on Tuesday announced NovaFlip, its first-ever flip smartphone, set to launch in India in Q1 2026. Priced under ₹40,000, the device aims to bring foldable-style innovation to a wider audience.
The announcement marks a major expansion for the Madhav Sheth-led brand, which entered the smartphone market earlier this year with the Nova 5G.
Ai+ NovaFlip Signals a New Direction
NovaFlip will debut under the Ai+ Smartphone Nova series. The lineup focuses on delivering modern technology at accessible pricing. Alongside NovaFlip, the company also plans to introduce new models such as Nova Pro and Nova Ultra in the future.
Ai+ Smartphone has also hinted at a fold-style device down the line. For now, NovaFlip becomes the brand’s second smartphone after the Nova 5G, launched in July 2025.
NxtQuantum OS Built for Flip Phones
NovaFlip will run on NxtQuantum OS. According to the company, the software adapts intelligently between folded and open states. It prioritises quick checks and glanceable information when the phone remains closed.
Ai+ Smartphone has also confirmed that NovaFlip will ship without any preloaded bloatware. This move aligns with the brand’s focus on clean software and distraction-free usage.
Focus on Compact and Purposeful Design
Speaking about the new device, Madhav Sheth highlighted the emotional and practical appeal of flip phones. “Flip smartphones bring back things people genuinely miss: compactness, physical interaction, and a sense of control,” said Madhav Sheth, CEO, Ai+ Smartphone and Founder, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies.
He added, “NovaFlip blends that familiarity with everything a modern smartphone needs to deliver today. It’s a flip phone that fits current lifestyles, purposeful, expressive and designed for moments when you want to engage quickly or disconnect just as easily.”
Affordable Flip Phone for Indian Buyers
With a price point under ₹40,000, NovaFlip aims to lower the entry barrier for flip smartphones in India. The segment has so far remained limited to premium pricing.
While full specifications remain undisclosed, the announcement confirms Ai+ Smartphone’s intent to compete aggressively in the evolving foldable market.
More details are expected closer to the Q1 2026 launch window.
