Toyota Brings Customer Delight With Upto ₹3.5L Price Cut After Revised GST

Govt’s Festive Season Gift for Buyers

Car buyers in India have reason to celebrate this festive season. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has slashed prices across its popular models, passing on the benefits of the GST rationalisation. The new tax rates, effective from September 22, 2025, bring relief to customers just in time for Navaratri.

Fortuner leads with the biggest price drop

The Toyota Fortuner has seen the steepest price cut of up to ₹3.49 lakh. Its premium sibling, the Fortuner Legender, is also more affordable with a reduction of up to ₹3.34 lakh. For lifestyle buyers, the Hilux pickup now comes cheaper by up to ₹2.52 lakh.

Premium models also turn attractive

Luxury buyers can benefit as well. The Vellfire is now cheaper by up to ₹2.78 lakh, while the Camry hybrid sedan gets a reduction of up to ₹1.01 lakh. These cuts make Toyota’s premium range more appealing ahead of the festive rush.

Mid-range SUVs and MPVs see strong revisions

The Innova Crysta, a strong family favorite, is now cheaper by up to ₹1.80 lakh. The newer Innova Hycross also gets a price slash of up to ₹1.15 lakh. Compact SUV shoppers will find the Urban Cruiser Taisor more attractive with a cut of up to ₹1.11 lakh.

Entry-level buyers benefit too

Toyota has ensured that even first-time buyers enjoy the GST benefit. The Glanza hatchback is now cheaper by up to ₹85,300, while the Rumion MPV comes with a cut of up to ₹48,700. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid SUV is also more affordable with a reduction of up to ₹65,400.

GST rationalisation explained

The GST Council recently approved new tax slabs of 5 per cent and 18 per cent, replacing multiple earlier brackets. Petrol, LPG, and CNG cars under 1,200 cc and within 4,000 mm length, and diesel cars up to 1,500 cc and 4,000 mm, now fall under the 18 per cent rate. Larger vehicles exceeding 1,200 cc and longer than 4,000 mm attract a 40 per cent levy.

Dealers advise early booking

Toyota has advised buyers to confirm exact prices at their nearest dealerships, as reductions may vary by variant and location. With festive season demand expected to rise, customers are encouraged to book early to avoid delivery delays.

With prices slashed across segments, Toyota is expected to see stronger demand for popular models like the Fortuner, Innova, and Hyryder. This move makes owning a Toyota more accessible than before, turning the GST cut into a festive gift for customers.
