Tata Sierra Returns With a Modern Identity

Tata Motors has revealed the production-spec Tata Sierra ahead of its launch on November 25. The revived SUV blends its iconic 1991 silhouette with new-age design and updated technology. Expected prices start around Rs 11 lakh and may go up to Rs 20 lakh based on the variants. The Sierra marks a major comeback for an iconic Tata nameplate that still carries strong recognition among Indian buyers.

Design Blends Retro Charm With 2025 Styling

The new Tata Sierra carries a familiar boxy profile inspired by the 1990s model. Yet, it delivers a cleaner and more modern look. The upright stance uses gloss-black elements that link the LED headlights, DRLs, logo, and the bold “Sierra” lettering. Additionally, the rugged character stands out through the skid plate and twin fog lamps placed neatly in the bumper.

Inside, the cabin offers a premium and connected feel. The SUV features three dashboard displays: one for the driver and two for infotainment. Each screen can share content seamlessly. Tata also uses the same four-spoke steering wheel seen in the Curvv, with an illuminated logo and touch controls for quick access.

Cabin Focuses on Comfort and Space

The interior follows a black-and-grey theme with a panoramic sunroof extending to the C-pillar. It brings more light into the cabin and adds an open feel. Seating is for five, finished in a beige and grey upholstery. Every seat gets adjustable headrests and 3-point seatbelts for improved comfort and safety.

Engine Options Aim to Broaden Appeal

Tata Sierra is expected to debut the brand-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine shown earlier at Auto Expo 2023. This engine should deliver around 170 hp and 280 Nm. Buyers will likely get both manual and automatic choices. Reports also claim that Tata will offer a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Furthermore, the SUV will get a 1.5-litre diesel unit producing 118 hp and 260 Nm. This is the same diesel engine seen in the Curvv and Nexon.

Launch Date and Expected Pricing

Tata Motors will announce the official Tata Sierra prices on November 25, 2025. Industry estimates suggest the price range could start between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 13 lakh. Moreover, it may extend up to Rs 20 lakh depending on features and variants.
