Devialet has launched the Devialet Phantom Ultimate in India, introducing a next-generation version of its iconic Phantom speaker. The launch matters because it refreshes one of the most recognisable luxury audio products globally, bringing updated processing power, smarter sound tuning, and wider connectivity to the Indian high-end audio market.
What is Devialet Phantom Ultimate?
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate is the brand’s latest plug-and-play wireless speaker, designed and engineered in Paris. It replaces the original Phantom speaker that debuted almost ten years ago. In India, Devialet will sell and market the speaker through Luxury Personified LLP, its official partner for the premium segment.
Importantly, the Phantom Ultimate focuses on adaptive sound performance. It automatically adjusts volume levels in real time based on the type of content being played, ensuring consistent output whether users are listening to music, podcasts, or films.
What powers the Devialet Phantom Ultimate?
At its core, the speaker runs on a new NXP i.MX 8M Nano processor integrated into a system-on-a-chip design. It operates on the latest Devialet OS (DOS3), which enables smoother performance and improved audio management.
In addition, the Phantom Ultimate supports a wide range of streaming protocols. These include AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and UPnP. Users can also customise sound profiles using the Devialet app, which offers dedicated Music, Podcast, and Cinema modes along with a six-band equaliser.
How does it improve sound quality?
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate uses an optimised driver setup and 32-bit/96kHz audio processing. As a result, the 108 dB variant delivers sound across an extended frequency range from 14 Hz to 35 kHz. The system produces a total amplification power of 1,100 W.
Alongside ADH technology, the speaker also employs Devialet’s SAM algorithm. This allows the system to adapt in real time to both transient and steady-state signals, reproducing phase and amplitude with higher accuracy.
Connectivity, controls, and design updates
The speaker now features four touch controls on the top panel for easier interaction. Moreover, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring stable wireless performance across devices.
Devialet Phantom Ultimate price in India
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate 108 dB variant is available in Deep Forest and Light Pearl finishes, starting at ₹4,08,999. The Opera de Paris edition is priced at ₹4,82,999. Meanwhile, the 98 dB variant starts at ₹1,99,999, with the Opera de Paris finish priced at ₹2,32,999.
