What Happens to OpenAI?

Apple added ChatGPT to its devices in late 2024. Siri could hand off complex questions to OpenAI’s chatbot. That integration remains.

However, the Gemini deal changes the balance. Siri’s default intelligence layer will now come from Google. ChatGPT stays as an optional helper for advanced queries.
