Realme has kicked off 2026 with a strong premium push. The company launched the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ in India on January 6. The new lineup targets buyers looking for high-end features without crossing flagship pricing.

Durability takes center stage this time. The Realme 16 Pro series carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. This means protection from dust, water immersion, high-pressure sprays, and extreme conditions. It is a rare move in this price segment.

Both phones ship with Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16, straight out of the box.

Realme 16 Pro+: Display, Performance, and Camera

The Realme 16 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. It supports up to 144Hz refresh rate and reaches 6,500 nits peak brightness. The panel aims at power users and mobile gamers.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Camera hardware is the main highlight. The phone packs a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it features a 50MP selfie camera.

A 7,000mAh battery fuels the device, supported by 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, with the charger included.

Prices start at ₹39,999, with sales beginning January 9 via Flipkart, Realme’s website, and offline stores.

Realme 16 Pro: Premium Core at a Lower Price

The Realme 16 Pro shares much of the same DNA. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and the same 6,500 nits brightness.

It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, with configurations going up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 50MP front camera. Battery capacity remains unchanged at 7,000mAh, along with 80W fast charging.

Pricing starts at ₹31,999, and sales also begin on January 9.
