LG is raising eyebrows ahead of CES 2026. The company has announced its upcoming LG Gram Pro lineup, and the claim is bold. LG says it is launching the world’s lightest 17-inch RTX laptop.

The spotlight is on two models. These include the LG Gram Pro 17 (17Z90UR) and the Gram Pro 16 (16Z90U). Both laptops focus on portability, performance, and AI-driven computing. More importantly, LG wants to prove that power no longer needs extra weight.

Aerominum Material: The Real Star of the Show

At the heart of the new LG Gram Pro lineup is a freshly developed material called Aerominum. LG says this ultralight metal helps cut down weight while improving strength and scratch resistance.

As a result, LG aims to redefine what thin-and-light laptops can deliver. This move also aligns with the growing demand for large-screen laptops that are easy to carry.

LG Gram Pro 17 Brings RTX Power to an Ultra-Light Body

The LG Gram Pro 17 features a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display. It also packs Nvidia’s new RTX 5050 laptop GPU with 8GB VRAM.

According to LG, this setup delivers enough performance for content creation, graphics work, and casual gaming. However, the company makes it clear that this is not a full-fledged gaming laptop.

LG has not revealed the exact weight yet. Still, it confirms that the Gram Pro 17 will launch exclusively in the US.

LG Gram Pro 16 Focuses on OLED and AI Computing

Meanwhile, the LG Gram Pro 16 takes a slightly different route. It features a sharper 2,880 x 1,800 OLED display and runs on Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors.

LG claims this will be the lightest 16-inch laptop in its category to support both on-device and cloud-based AI features. Once again, weight details remain under wraps for now.

CES 2026 Will Reveal the Missing Pieces

LG has not announced pricing or availability yet. However, all signs point to a full reveal at CES 2026 next week.

Until then, this Pro series already signals a clear message. Thin, powerful, and AI-ready laptops are about to get even lighter.
