LG Electronics has unveiled UltraGear evo, its new premium gaming monitor brand, ahead of CES 2026. With this launch, LG pushes gaming displays beyond traditional resolution limits. The new lineup focuses on 5K and higher resolutions, while maintaining speed, clarity, and immersion across OLED, New MiniLED, and ultra-wide displays.

At the center of UltraGear evo is a major shift. LG introduces the world’s first 5K AI Upscaling technology, processed directly on the monitor. This allows high-resolution gaming without placing extra load on the GPU.

5K AI Upscaling Changes How Games Look

The new on-device AI solution enhances content in real time. It upscales visuals to near-5K clarity even when the original content runs at lower resolutions. This approach helps gamers experience sharper visuals without upgrading graphics cards.

Alongside upscaling, LG integrates AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound. These features adjust visuals and audio based on on-screen content. The result is a more immersive and responsive gaming experience.

The 39-inch UltraGear evo GX9 delivers a 5K2K OLED panel with a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. It uses Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology for higher brightness, deeper blacks, and improved panel longevity.

Dual Mode support allows users to switch between 165Hz at 5K2K or 330Hz at WFHD. The 1500R curved screen improves immersion while retaining the vertical height of a 32-inch display.

The 27-inch UltraGear evo GM9 becomes the world’s first 5K New MiniLED gaming monitor. It features 2,304 local dimming zones and Zero Optical Distance engineering to reduce halo effects.With VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and peak brightness of 1,250 nits, the display offers precise contrast control. Dual Mode enables 165Hz at 5K or 330Hz at QHD, ensuring flexibility across gaming styles.

The 52-inch UltraGear evo G9 introduces the world’s largest 5K2K gaming monitor. It runs at 240Hz and features a wide 12:9 panoramic view with a 1000R curve.

The display delivers a workspace wider than standard UHD monitors. VESA DisplayHDR 600 ensures consistent brightness and contrast across the massive panel.
