OpenAI Rolls Out ChatGPT Wrapped With Awards, Poems, and AI Memories

ChatGPT Wrapped Arrives With a Year-End AI Recap

OpenAI has introduced a year-end review feature for ChatGPT users. The new experience is called “Your Year with ChatGPT.” It works like Spotify Wrapped. The feature highlights how people used the chatbot over the past year.

The rollout has started in select markets. These include the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. OpenAI says more regions may follow later.

Who Can Access “Your Year with ChatGPT”

The feature is available to users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans. However, there is a condition. Users must enable “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history.”

They also need to meet a minimum activity threshold. OpenAI confirmed this in a statement shared with TechCrunch.

Team, Enterprise, and Education accounts are excluded. These users will not see the year-end review.

What ChatGPT Wrapped Shows Users

“Your Year with ChatGPT” uses visuals and summaries to reflect usage patterns. The experience assigns playful awards based on how users interacted with the chatbot.

For example, users may receive titles like “Creative Debugger.” This applies to those who used ChatGPT for problem-solving or idea development.

The feature also generates a poem and an image. These are based on topics users explored during the year. The entire experience stays lightweight and easy to navigate.

Privacy and User Control Stay Central

OpenAI says the feature is privacy-forward and user-controlled. It does not open automatically. Users can choose whether to view it or ignore it.

ChatGPT Wrapped appears as a prompt on the home screen. Users can also trigger it manually by typing “Your Year with ChatGPT.”

Where and How to Access the Feature

The year-end review is available on the ChatGPT web app. It also works on iOS and Android apps.

OpenAI is positioning the feature as a reflection tool. It highlights user habits without exposing private data. The rollout marks a new step in making AI interactions more personal and engaging.
