Gemini 3 Breaks Records as Google Launches Its Most Powerful AI Yet

Google Drops Gemini 3 With Record-Breaking AI Power

Google has launched Gemini 3, its most advanced AI model yet, and the release has already created major buzz. The model is now live inside the Gemini app and Google’s AI-powered Search. The launch also comes within days of intense competition, as GPT 5.1 and Sonnet 4.5 arrived recently. Yet, Google claims Gemini 3 brings a massive leap in reasoning.

A Major Jump in Reasoning and Understanding

Google says Gemini 3 understands context with far more depth. It reads subtle clues, handles layered problems, and grasps intent faster. Therefore, users should get accurate responses with fewer prompts. Tulsee Doshi, Google’s head of product for Gemini, said the jump in reasoning is unlike anything they have seen before.

That claim is already visible in benchmark results. Gemini 3 scored 37.4 on the Humanity’s Last Exam benchmark. It is now the highest score ever recorded. GPT-5 Pro previously held the top score at 31.64. Gemini 3 also ranked first on LMArena, a human-evaluated benchmark for user satisfaction.

Gemini Comes to Search on Day One

For the first time, Google is shipping its latest model directly into Search on launch day. Users will see more dynamic results and more complex reasoning inside AI Mode. The company says this update will push Search toward deeper understanding rather than only answering queries.

Gemini 3 is also available inside the Gemini app, AI Studio, Vertex AI, and Google’s new agentic platform called Google Antigravity.

Introducing Google Antigravity: A New Agentic Coding Platform

One of the biggest additions is Google Antigravity, a coding interface powered by Gemini 3. It offers a multi-pane setup that brings together a prompt window, terminal, and browser preview. Developers can now see changes in real-time as the AI agent works across windows.

DeepMind CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu said the agent can interact with the editor, terminal, and browser to help build applications smoothly. This feature puts Antigravity in direct competition with agentic IDEs like Cursor 2.0 and Warp.

Massive User Base Behind the Gemini Platform

Google shared that the Gemini app now has more than 650 million monthly active users. Moreover, over 13 million developers use Gemini models in their workflow. A more research-heavy version named Gemini 3 Deepthink will arrive soon for AI Ultra subscribers after extended safety testing.

A Fast-Moving AI Race Gets Even Hotter

The launch of Gemini 3 highlights the rapid pace of AI development. With back-to-back releases from Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic, the competition is rising sharply. For now, Gemini 3 stands out with its benchmark scores and its push toward deeper reasoning.
