How to Activate ChatGPT Go for Free

Activating the ChatGPT Go free plan is simple and takes only a few minutes.

Step 1: Open ChatGPT on the web (not the mobile app). You’ll see a “12-month free upgrade” popup or an “Upgrade for FREE” option at the top.

Step 2: On the next page, you’ll notice the price ₹399/month crossed out and replaced with ₹0 for 12 months. Click “Upgrade to Go.”

Step 3: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to verify your account.

Step 4: The payment page will appear. Add your card details or UPI ID by selecting “Pay without link.” No money will be charged — and your ChatGPT Go plan will activate instantly.

This free upgrade is valid for 12 months, giving users access to faster AI models and creative tools without switching to ChatGPT Plus.
