OnePlus 15 Launches With Bigger Battery and Smarter Performance
OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship, the OnePlus 15, in China. The smartphone succeeds last year’s OnePlus 13 and introduces significant upgrades in design, power, and performance. The launch marks the company’s October 2025 event highlight, offering a refreshed look and next-gen hardware aimed at performance enthusiasts.
Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip
At its core, the OnePlus 15 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The processor features two performance cores and six efficiency cores, delivering peak clock speeds of up to 4.6GHz. It’s paired with an Adreno 840 GPU for improved graphics and supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
This new setup promises better multitasking, faster app launches, and enhanced gaming performance, all while being more power efficient.
Display Offers 165Hz Refresh Rate and Vibrant Visuals
The device features a 6.78-inch BOE Flexible AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Users get a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits of peak brightness, and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, ensuring vivid visuals and fluid motion.
The screen supports up to 330Hz touch sampling rate and 1.07 billion colours, offering an immersive viewing experience for gamers and multimedia users alike.
Triple 50MP Camera System With 8K Video Support
OnePlus 15 introduces a new square triple-rear camera unit, led by a 50MP primary sensor with a 24mm focal length. It also includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens, bringing versatility to mobile photography.
For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera, and the main setup can record 8K videos at 30fps, highlighting the phone’s imaging power.
Massive 7,300mAh Battery With 120W Super Flash Charge
The new OnePlus 15 packs a 7,300mAh battery, one of the largest in the segment. It supports 120W Super Flash Charge for fast wired charging and 50W Wireless Flash Charge for convenience.
Despite the large battery, the phone maintains a sleek design, weighing 211 grams and measuring 8.1mm thick.
Runs on Android 16-Based ColorOS 16
The smartphone ships with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 in China. It also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and multiple sensors including laser focus and spectrum detection. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and GPS.
Price and Availability
The OnePlus 15 price in China starts at CNY 3,999 (around ₹50,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Higher models go up to CNY 5,399 (around ₹67,000) for the 16GB + 1TB version.
It will be available in Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune colourways, with sales starting October 28 on OnePlus’ official store in China.
