Samsung Begins One UI 8 Official Rollout on Galaxy Devices

One UI 8 is More Refined and Personalised

Samsung has officially started rolling out its latest software update, One UI 8, to Galaxy devices. The rollout begins with the Galaxy S25 series and will later expand to the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S24 FE, and other eligible models.

Smarter and More Personalised Experience

Samsung says One UI 8 is more refined and personalised. It recognises user context better and offers proactive suggestions. The Now Bar now shows real-time app activity and media progress on the Flip’s FlexWindow, with support for more third-party apps.

The Now Brief delivers personalised daily updates such as traffic alerts, reminders, and Samsung Moments. Health insights from Galaxy Watch are also accessible within the interface.

AI Features Across Devices

One UI 8 introduces Gemini Live, an AI assistant that understands what users are watching or seeing in real time. It removes the need to switch between apps for AI assistance.

With Circle to Search, users can now translate text instantly as they scroll through content. The AI Results View displays results in a Split View or Floating View, adding flexibility to multitasking.

Security and Privacy Boost

Samsung has added a new Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) architecture. It creates app-specific encrypted storage environments, securing AI experiences within Galaxy’s Personal Data Engine.

Tools for Productivity and Creativity

The update expands Multi Window capabilities, allowing drag-and-drop of AI-generated images and text into workflows. Gemini Live is now available directly on the Flip’s FlexWindow for hands-free voice search.

Audio Eraser is another addition, enabling users to remove background noise such as traffic or wind during video or audio recording.

Customisation and Accessibility

One UI 8 introduces a new clock design that adapts to wallpaper contours. Users can customise the clock’s thickness, size, and colour.

Other AI-powered tools include Portrait Studio for creative editing and Call Captions, which converts voices into text during calls or interpreter use.

Expanding to More Devices Soon

The One UI 8 update is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung confirmed that the update will expand to more Galaxy models later this year, ensuring a consistent experience across its ecosystem.
