Amazon Diagnostics Launches With 60-Minute At-Home Testing in India

At-Home Testing Available in 6 Cities

Amazon India has entered the diagnostics game with a new tech-driven healthcare service — Amazon Diagnostics. With this launch, customers in six cities can book lab tests and receive at-home sample collection in under 60 minutes.

Amazon Diagnostics Aims to Solve India’s Testing Woes

India’s diagnostic landscape faces serious issues like inconsistent service quality, limited access, and long wait times. Amazon’s latest offering is a bold attempt to fix those gaps. The new platform lets users schedule lab tests, track sample pickups, and access digital reports — all within the Amazon app.

More importantly, Amazon claims to deliver digital lab results in as little as 6 hours, all from the comfort of your home.

Now Live in Major Cities

Amazon Diagnostics has gone live in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, covering over 450 pin codes. Customers can choose from more than 800 lab tests, ranging from basic wellness checks to more comprehensive diagnostics.

This service is built in partnership with Orange Health Labs, a well-known diagnostic provider in India. The tie-up ensures accredited lab practices and real-time updates.

Part of Amazon’s Bigger Health Play

The launch isn’t a standalone effort. It’s part of a larger strategy under Amazon Medical, which already includes Amazon Pharmacy and Amazon Clinic. With this diagnostics rollout, Amazon now offers a connected health journey — from doctor consultations to medicine delivery and lab tests—on one platform.

Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader at Amazon Medical, emphasized that Amazon Diagnostics is all about making healthcare accessible, fast, and reliable.

Built for Convenience, Powered by Technology

Amazon Diagnostics doesn’t just promise speed — it delivers on convenience too. The app includes real-time slot visibility, map-based address validation, and automated test preparation instructions. Reports are stored securely in the Amazon Health dashboard, allowing for easy sharing with doctors.

Privacy and data security are baked into the platform, with strict adherence to medical data standards.

A Natural Next Step for Orange Health

For Orange Health, the partnership with Amazon is a validation of its growth and trust in the market. Since launching in 2021, the company has built a reputation for fast, doctor-verified testing services.

Orange Health’s co-founder Dhruv Gupta says the Amazon collaboration will take their diagnostic experience to the next level — faster, more reliable, and at scale.

A Sign of Things to Come in Digital Health

With Amazon entering the diagnostics space, competition is bound to heat up. But more importantly, it signals a shift in how urban India will experience routine healthcare. From booking tests to starting treatment, Amazon now offers a complete outpatient loop — all under one app.

As tech and healthcare continue to merge, Amazon’s latest move could change how millions in India access critical health services.
