Motorola’s first wide-folding smartphone has appeared on Geekbench, revealing key details about its expected performance and software. The listing identifies the device as the Motorola Razr Flex 27, although its final commercial name remains unconfirmed.
Motorola first teased its entry into the wide-folding smartphone category in September. The move could put the company in a growing segment that includes devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Xiaomi 18 Fold and Apple’s iPhone Duo, as described in recent reports.
The Geekbench listing points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It also suggests that the phone could arrive with 12GB of RAM and Android 17-based software.
However, Motorola has yet to announce the device’s complete specifications or launch timeline. These details should therefore be treated as leaks rather than confirmed features.
Motorola Razr Flex 27 Chipset and Benchmark Scores
According to Geekbench, the Motorola Razr Flex 27 uses a Qualcomm chipset identified by the model number QTI SM8845. The listing associates this identifier with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
The chipset reportedly features six efficiency cores clocked at up to 3.4GHz and two performance cores reaching 3.8GHz. The listing also records 10.96GB of RAM, which could translate into a marketed 12GB configuration.
The handset scored 2,669 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 8,837 points in the multi-core test. These results offer an early indication of its processing capabilities, although they do not establish its real-world performance.
The final experience will also depend on software optimisation, thermal management and how the device handles sustained workloads. Motorola has not yet confirmed the processor or memory configuration.
Motorola Razr Flex 27 Display and Design Details
Previous leaks suggest that the Motorola Razr Flex 27 could feature a wide, book-style folding design. This would distinguish it from Motorola’s familiar clamshell Razr foldables.
The phone is tipped to feature a 6.92-inch OLED inner display with a resolution of 1,728 x 2,364 pixels. It could support a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, alongside Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content.
The reported cover screen measures 4.97 inches and could offer a resolution of 1,736 x 1,140 pixels. If these specifications prove accurate, the outer display could provide considerable room for everyday tasks without opening the handset.
Motorola has not confirmed the panel specifications, display brightness or dimensions. More information should emerge closer to the launch.
Motorola Razr Flex 27 Camera and Battery Specifications
The Motorola Razr Flex 27 is tipped to feature two rear cameras. These reportedly include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with up to 30x digital zoom and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The leaked specifications do not yet reveal the sensors’ exact models, optical stabilisation support or detailed video capabilities. Camera performance will depend on these factors, as well as Motorola’s image processing.
The phone could pack a 5,000mAh battery and support Qi2 wireless charging at up to 25W. If confirmed, this combination would bring a sizeable battery and magnetic wireless charging support to Motorola’s wide-folding design.
The handset is also tipped to carry IP48 and IP49 ratings for dust and water resistance. Motorola has not confirmed these ratings or explained the level of protection the final device will offer.
Motorola Razr Flex 27 Software and Expected Availability
The Geekbench listing suggests that the foldable could run Android 17 with a newer version of Motorola’s Hello UI. The software may bring Motorola’s interface and features to the larger folding display, although specific multitasking tools have not been confirmed.
Earlier reports also suggest that the phone could launch in select global markets in two Pantone-curated colours: Coriander and Dark Botanical Garden. The device is reportedly planned with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Motorola has not officially confirmed the name Razr Flex 27, its storage options, colours, pricing or availability. Its appearance on Geekbench signals that the company may be testing the device, but it does not establish a launch date.
If the leaked specifications hold true, Motorola’s entry could add another option to the expanding wide-folding smartphone category. Its final appeal will depend on pricing, software support, camera performance and how effectively it balances a large folding display with battery life and durability.
