iQOO has confirmed the India launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in New Delhi. The device will run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform.

The announcement signals iQOO’s next step in the premium smartphone segment. The company is highlighting performance, power efficiency and AI capabilities as key parts of the upcoming device.

The iQOO 16 will also introduce a major software change for the brand. It will be the first iQOO smartphone to ship with OriginOS 7 out of the box.

iQOO 16 to feature a 2nm Snapdragon flagship chipset

The iQOO 16 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform. Qualcomm’s new chipset is built using a 2nm process technology, which aims to improve performance and power efficiency.
